    • Guest cannot have their own vehicle.

    • Guest must stay with the hunter at all times.

    • You can have multiple guests throughout your hunt, but only one guest is allowed with the hunter on the ranch.

  • We want hunters to be happy with the moose hunt on the property. Durst Mountain’s moose hunt is fun and exciting. That said, most of the moose harvested are average-sized bull moose. Typically, the bulls are around 35-40 inches wide with either single or double fronts. We provide this information because we want hunters to make an informed decision when applying for the Durst Moutain CWMU moose hunt.

  • This hunt can be physical. The moose typically do not stay close to the roads, and hiking is necessary to harvest moose. Sometimes, bulls are harvested close to roads and vehicle access areas, but it is not common. The more you can hike and be mobile, the higher your chances are of harvesting a bull and seeing more moose.

  • To ensure a quality hunting experience for all public hunters, all scheduling and inquiring must be done through the Durst Mountain CWMU Operator. Individual guides are NOT permitted to schedule hunts or deviate from this hunt information.

  • Our goal is to provide you with a quality hunting experience. Your job is to enjoy the experience and conduct yourself so that all other guests have a quality experience as well.

  • If you draw out for this hunt, you will be contacted by the Durst Mountain CWMU operator with further information regarding your hunt. Plan on four to six weeks after the draw results (expect to hear from the operator by the middle of June).
